she`s so skirt!
Cynthia Good loves the spark of a good idea.
“I’m a Gemini, so I like to start things,” says Cynthia who launched Atlanta Woman magazine, Chapter 11 Books, Pink magazine, and Horseradish Grille, among other projects. “I love to take just a spark of an idea and when it’s captured correctly, it can breathe and have life,” says the Buckhead mother of two. Where does she get inspiration? “I feed off the creative women I’m around and especially the ones I get to interview at Pink.” After spending a quarter of a century in journalism, she has dabbled successfully in a second career in entrepreneurialism. “It’s fun to come up with new ideas and concepts— things that haven’t been done over and over.” But Pink was a fantasy of mine,” she admits. “It was very obvious to me that there was a need for women in business to have a national magazine.” She says it may sound Pollyanna, “but the only reason to be in this business is to feel like you’re making some positive difference and helping. That’s what I really live for.”
