Can a man wear a white summer watch?
By skirtSteph, Monday, June 22, 2009, 2 commentsLe Fiance came in tonight from the gym wearing a stark white, plastic Casio G-shock watch that I'd never seen before.
"What's that?" I asked, pointing at it and laughing.
"It's my summer watch."
"You're summer watch?!" I said. (More laughing.)
"What? It's awesome. You don't know!" he yelled walking away into another room.
But as we sat on the couch watching television this evening, I couldn't help but look over at the watch and laugh.
"What, babe?! It tells you the tide. It's a surfer's watch. It's awesome."
"Oh! Good thing we live in Georgia near all that sweet surf, babe."
Even as I write this, he's walking into the other room going "Babe, you're wrong! You're wrong about this watch. It's awesome."
Judge for yourself. Here it is.

Now, Le Fiance has great taste. I'll give him that. He's fashion forward and I'm always admiring his choices, but this white watch thing...I don't know if I can get on board.
There's fashion forward, and then fashion faux pax. Ladies, what do you think?

no, no, no
Just figured out how to comment. Have to scroll all the way down. A man can not and should not wear a white watch. Not in the summer, not in the fall, not AT ALL. The same goes for white Oakely sunglasses. California boys do it all the time. It's not sexy, it's not cool. And no to the white backwards quicksliver caps, white flip flops from Old Navy, or white cargos from Amer Eagle.
Friends on Fbook agreed...

Hell yeah. It wasn't even cool in the 80's when we wore Swatch watches...
