Deidre can’t seem to stay in one place for very long. “My mom is a travel agent,” says the 29-year old. “I got the travel bug from her, going to Australia and Egypt as a child.” After graduating from Spelman College, Deidre landed a steady job at ABC News in New York, but wasn’t happy behind the scenes. Leaving The Big Apple behind, she now hosts the new Comcast show, “The Romance Travel Guide.” While jet setting the world finding the most romantic destinations, she has found that the accommodations are what really make the getaway. Deidre’s favorite romantic location is Barbados and is visiting Kenya and Malaysia in the near future. As she gushes about sailboats, sunsets and beautiful scenery that are the backdrop of her career, she shrugs and admits what is already evident. “ I have my dream job.”
