My first TV Appearance...

Thursday, February, 14, 2008

When Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta asked me and my boyfriend Tim to come on their Valentine’s Day morning show where I’d get a massage, drink mimosas and get my hair and makeup done all while the little man cooked for me in the kitchen, I said, “Er, let me think about it.” Kidding. I said, “Hell yes! Sign me up.”

So that was my Thursday morning. (Truthfully, the 6:00 am call time was rough, I feel for all of you early risers). But I got to hang out at a great Tapas joint in Roswell called Little Alley www.littlealley.com  (A chic spot for suburbanites with a little style) and Tim had to slave away shucking oysters and sauteeing duck in the kitchen. Yum!

I also got to hang out with some of my female colleagues from other magazines around town—women I adore that I only usually get to see at media events.

Here’s one of the segments on a  clip from Fox 5. Tim and I are the goofballs talking about Cheerios. It’s Mark Hyman’s Road Warrior: Valentine’s Day Surprise.

Although it was a beautiful way to start V-day, Tim isn’t off the hook yet. I’m pretty sure the chef in the back did most of the hard work.  Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you—may you get a rub down, have your man cook you something nice and get a little tipsy on top of it all!

what a cool thing to take part in! But oysters at breakfast time? I don't think I could do that unless I'd stayed out all night...

I know! But it was surprisingly delish. The duck was harder to get down at 8 am. Who knew? Stephanie Editor of skirt! Atlanta
