Daniel Jones is a cut above the rest!

Daniel was supposed to be a funeral director. "I started working at a funeral home at age 14. And I loved it," says the Greenville, South Carolina native. So why did he go into hair styling? "My dead people looked fabulous!" he says. "I knew I was born to do this instead."

And it was those gorgeous coiffes on the recently departed that sparked his career.  Daniel went to school to learn styling, color and cutting and is now the L'oreal representative (there are only about 6 in the country) for the southeast and goes to Paris a couple of times a year to learn all the new cuts and colors from the L'oreal hair gods. He then comes back home to Georgia and travels the Southeast teaching L'oreal stylists what he's learned.

Daniel and his partner now run Muse Salon and Spa in John's Creek. (It's like the Van Michaels of the OTP.) His chair is booked for months at a time. Women have him scheduled into 2012. For this quirky guy born into a Pentacostal South Carolina family, "where the higher your hair, the closer you are to Jesus!," he's come a long way.

"I'm like the hairdresser/life coach/mentor/plumber/owner/office manager/therapist/relationship expert/janitor around here," says Daniel about his salon. "You name it, I do it."

What do you like about wearing a skirt?: "Well, I'm not much of a skirt wearing kind of man, BUT I guess I could show off my legs, lol."

What do you like about reading skirt!? "I have always loved reading Skirt because it keeps me current with the things that I talk about all day behind the chair."
